Human Aid Organization of Somalia (HAOS) is proud to introduce the Drain Water Project, a novel approach to providing vital water for nomadic communities in Somalia during droughts. This project utilizes drain water, a previously untapped resource.

HAOS work closely with nomadic communities to identify suitable locations with minimal environmental impact. Drain water from appropriate sources, is collected through a safe and sustainable system. The collected water undergoes a multi-stage treatment process to ensure it meets safe drinking water standards for human and livestock consumption.
Mobile water tanks or strategically placed, easily accessible water points deliver the treated water directly to nomadic communities in Somalia.
